Member Obligations

Christ's work was initially unfinished on earth, it becomes finished in the work of his disciples -- people like us. We have a part (and a responsibility) to forward the ministry of the church. As a member of the Mount Hebron Missionary Baptist Church, your obligations and responsibilities are as follows:

To worship, attend church regularly and listen to the sermons.

To learn more about God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

To attend Bible Class and / or Sunday School weekly.

To tithe regularly according to how God has blessed you.

To share your time, gifts and talents with the church or God's people.

To serve.

To study the Word of God.

To witness to others about Jesus Christ.

Praying for the church, your family, your friends, yourself and others.

To attend church meetings.

Not to cause disruption in the church.

To continue in your loyalty to God and to the church.

Mount Hebron Obligations to its Members

To share the gifts and talents of the body.

To provide and make available sound, Christian doctrine.

To provide biblical teaching and instruction for the development of consistent Christian character.

To pray for you.

To provide a loving, fair, nurturing and friendly environment.

To provide services for praise and worship of almighty God.

To witness to the lost.

To provide baptism for confessed believers.

To provide communion services.

To promote religious evangelism and civic responsibility.

To promote missionary enterprise at home and abroad.

To allow all members in good standing to act and vote at all meetings of the congregation.

To allow all members to participate in the auxiliaries of their choice.
