Personal
Beliefs
After accepting Christ at an early age I found comfort in the House of the Lord. I began singing, worshipping and serving in the church in whatever capacity I could. Serving as an Acolyte at Greater Walters AME Zion under now Bishop George W. Walker Sr., I learned close up what the service of the Lord looked like and I wanted to be a part of it. It was easy to go to church and stay all day soaking up the love of God. It was awesome just to tarry in His presence going to several churches and programs even during the week.
Short Bio About Yourself
Calling/Education/Accomplishments:
I knew for a long time God was calling me to serve him on a greater level, but in my mind I was not ready, so I ran for many years. When I got tired of running I finally accepted His call in 2002 at Church of the Living God CWFF under Pastor Rodney Watkins, and I have been working to make up for the time I lost ever since. Maybe that is the cause for the dedication I pray you all see in me.
Favorite Verse: Psalms 1:1-3
I find peace
in so many of the scriptures that it is difficult to claim one as a favorite. It
seems each month or week and sometimes each day, a different scripture is my
favorite. Today that favorite is Psalms 1 which reads;
1 Blessed is
the man
Who walks not in the counsel
of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path
of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of
the scornful;
2 But his
delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he
meditates day and night.
3 He shall be
like a tree
Planted by the rivers
of water,
That brings forth its
fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall
not wither;
And whatever he does
shall prosper.
Personal Testimony:
I have a passion to serve God and minister to God’s people, especially the children.
