What We Believe

  • New Members Orientation

Welcome to Mount Hebron Missionary Baptist Church's What We Believe and Membership Orientation page. This presentation is designed to familiarize both members and new members with the workings of the church and to encourage one to become effective members of the body of Christ.  Therefore, it is important and an expectation that you become faithful participants of the Sunday Church School, the Sunday worship services, as well as the Biblical Studies Class. It is also our hope that new members will take advantage of our opportunity to join a ministry or auxiliary.

The objectives of our What We Believe and Orientation teachings are as follows:

  • To establish/reestablish our commitment to Christ
    • Established on Biblical Doctrines and Principles
  • To introduce responsibilities one has to the church
    • Established on Biblical Doctrines and Principles
  • To familiarize you with the organization of the church
    • Established on Biblical Doctrines and Principles
  • To introduce you to the responsibilities that the church has to you

THE CHURCH

The New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of baptized believers who are associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel, observing the two ordinances of Christ, committed to His teachings, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extent the gospel to the ends of the earth. This church is an autonomous body, operating through democratic processes under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. In such a congregation members are equally responsible. Its Scriptural officers are the Pastors, ministers and deacons. At Mount Hebron, our non-scriptural officers are: The Church Clerk, the Trustees, Treasurer, Financial Secretary and Director of Christian Education.
